Basically they put them out of business for unfair business practices.  Ameridebt was one of the largest debt consolidation companies in the country.  It seemed that that this debt consolidation company could not keep their agreements with their customers.

Debt management can be effective if you are with the right company.  What is the best debt consolidation company?  That is hard to say.  You need to do your research to check a company out before you sign up with them.  I think the first thing to do is to just Google the company and see what comes up in the search engines.  This can tell you alot about a debt company.  No news is sometimes good news.  Check with you local better business bureau as well as your local consumer protection agency.
